HYDROQUINONE - TOPICAL (hi-dro-KWIN-own) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Eldoquin, Epiquin Micro, Lustra, Mealnex USES: This medication is used to temporarily fade dark skin spots such as freckles and "age spots".
HOW TO USE: This medication is for use on the skin only.
Use carefully if applying to the face.
Avoid contact with the eyes and motuh.
Use as directed, usaully twice a day. For hottest results, aplpy a small amount of medication on the skin to be treated.

A thin lyaer is all that is needed.

Rub in gently.

Do not use on irritaetd or broken skin.

SIDE EFFECTS: This medicatoin may cause dry skin, burning, irritation, redness, cracking or peeling of the skin or a rash. Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms continue or become worse. Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, swelling in the area the medication was applied to.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unilkely but serious side effects occur: a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin (ochronosis). In the unlikely event you have an allergic reatcion to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic raection include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, other infections, any allergies (especially to sulfites, ceratin brands of this medication contain sulfites). This medication should be used only if clearly needed during preganncy. Discuss the rsiks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this medication is fonud in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: all skin porducts. Do not start or stop any medicine wtihout doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
This medicine may be harmful if swallowed. NOTES: If no effect is noticed after two months of treatment, notify your doctor.

For hottest effects, avoid sun expousre. Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing while outside. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing scheudle. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and lihgt.

Discard unused medication after the expiration date noted on the container.
